Working within the Development Approvals and Inspections Section and under the guidance of the Program Lead of the Service Support and Implementation Team, the Strategic Planning Analyst I will support various service areas across the DAI section. You will gain experience and develop skills in the field by conducting research, analyzing data, and assisting with various project tasks that will support senior professionals in the planning and development of policies, programs, operational strategies, and bylaw implementation projects.

What will you do?

  • Support senior professionals on bylaw, process improvement, and service design implementation projects, including conducting qualitative and quantitative research
  • Assist with policy and procedure documentation, training materials, and presentations
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate change management communications and prepare related materials (presentations, FAQs, newsletters)
  • Coordinate and prepare implementation materials (web content, job aids, standard operating procedures)
  • Collaborate with and support the Program Lead in responding to project inquiries and briefings
  • Coordinate and deliver training sessions for stakeholders and staff
  • Lead less complex implementation projects as assigned
  • Support projects and reports that address motions from Committee and Council
  • Assist in developing systems and approaches for improved service delivery
  • Conduct research on best practices, project evaluations, and assessments
  • Gather and analyze data from stakeholders; prepare visual representations of data
  • Work with stakeholders to define business problems, goals, and objectives
  • Develop and validate process maps and business requirements
  • Assist in developing performance measurement and data collection tools
  • Assist with digital drive organization and file/folder management
  • Represent the Development Approvals and Inspections Section on committees as needed
  • Complete other duties as required
