Description

The Operations Program Delivery and Partnerships (OPDP) team coordinates a number of programs that support environmental awareness, beautification and parkland operations. The Operations Program Delivery and Partnerships team is looking for Program Assistants to provide support to associated programs. These programs include, Partners in Parks and Invasive Plant Outreach.

What will you do?

  • Create engaging online and print media tools for program promotion and communicating to the public via social media platforms, newsletters and other online communications 
  • Organize and deliver educational materials and resources through volunteer programs, community events, and outreach activities
  • Respond promptly to phone and email inquiries from residents and stakeholders
  • Complete site visits and resource deliveries to program sites
  • Perform inventory assessments, site visits and data collection using various methods. 
  • Interpret mapping information using Google Maps and AEGIS
  • Maintain materials and equipment used for program delivery
  • Manage program files, ensuring accurate documentation and organization 
  • Support volunteer recruitment, training, communications, supply distribution, program logistics and recognition activities
  • Assist in the assessment of overall program effectiveness
  • Track program statistics, evaluate performance metrics and assist with program reporting
  • Support other programs as required
