What will you do?

  • Act as a municipal prosecutor in the Alberta Court of Justice (including criminal, traffic, and youth matters) and the Court of King's Bench of Alberta
  • Represent the City's interests at the Court of King's Bench and various administrative tribunals
  • Deliver expert legal advice and recommendations on matters relating to bylaw prosecution and administrative law
  • Develop and implement strategies for effective bylaw enforcement and compliance
  • Conduct interviews and gather evidence to support legal proceedings and investigations
  • Appear before City Council and Council Committees, presenting legal analysis and recommendations
  • Negotiate and facilitate resolutions to complex legal disputes and matters
  • Conduct thorough legal research and apply legal principles to diverse and evolving factual situations
  • Gather and analyze information through meetings, in-depth research, and meticulous document review
  • Draft, review, and finalize a variety of legal agreements, documents, and submissions
  • Provide proactive legal counsel and strategic recommendations to mitigate risk and potential liability
  • Deliver expert legal advice and recommendations on matters relating to bylaw prosecution and administrative law
