As an Equipment Operator II with Old Man Creek Nursery, you will operate a variety of large trucks (5-ton tandems, 3-ton single axle dumps), loaders, tractor/loaders, track loaders, skid steer loaders, & pull trailers. Equipment must be operated with expertise and safety. You will utilize your ability to work independently using strong organization skills to meet the needs of Forestry Operations.
What will you do?
- Operate a 5-ton dump trucks and a trailer to haul, load, and unload trees and soil to the Forestry Planting team at various sites around the City
- Work with Skid Steers, Track Loaders, Tractors, and other equipment when assigned as part of Nursery operations
- Rigging and lifting of wire-basketed and burlapped caliper trees
- Loading and unloading trucks with material
- Daily maintenance of equipment
- Daily record keeping including verification of tree load lists
- Performing other related duties as required
