Description
We are excited to share that we have a new opportunity to join our growing Election's team!
The Edmonton Election is a large-scale, complex, highly legislated civic project that is held every four years, featuring tight timelines and a broad range of stakeholders. It is a project that requires agility, precision, and dedication, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a process that enables Edmontonians to vote for Mayor, Council, and Edmonton Public or Edmonton Catholic school board trustees.
As our Election Specialist, Candidate Processes and Engagement, you would facilitate engagement with candidates, responding to high level inquiries and frequently asked questions and supporting activities related to candidate nomination appointments, such as scheduling, receiving and verifying forms for completeness, commissioning forms and taking payment deposits. As we approach the Elections, you would supervise, lead and guide a team of up to two Candidate Processes and Engagement Assistants.

- Conduct candidate nomination appointments by reviewing filed nomination papers and responding to candidate's inquiries
- Develop and maintain a suite of tools and resources such as How-To Guides and FAQ documents for candidates regarding nomination processes and requirements
- Engage with candidates and other related stakeholders, while ensuring interactions remain aligned with Edmonton Elections nonpartisan role as election administrators
- Partner with the Manager and Project Lead to develop Virtual Information Sessions
- Enter candidate information into the Elections Logistics Management System (ELMS), ensuring accuracy and attention to detail, following up as necessary if information is missing
- Lead processes related to campaign financing and disclosures
- Supervise Candidate Processes and Engagement Assistant
- Assist with the operational implementation of election day processes
