The City of Edmonton's Golf Courses offer stunning views of the City's river valley and North Saskatchewan River. Become an important member of the Golf Courses team as a Crew Leader / Labourer II. The successful applicant will provide supervision and hands-on leadership at the field level to deliver approved work plans. They will demonstrate a commitment to their team by encouraging consultation and participation in decision making related to the day to day operations of their work crews.

What you will do as a Crew Leader during summer months- 

• Providing field level supervision and hands on leadership for crews performing a wide variety of semi-skilled manual duties in the delivery of approved work plans
• Inspecting and approving completed work
• Maintaining effective working relationships with customers, the public and crew members
• Providing input into the annual budget process and monthly variance reporting processes
• Assisting with the registration, orientation and training of staff
• Promoting a safe work environment
• Monitoring and evaluating attendance and performance of crew members
• Performing other related duties as required 

What you will do as a  Labourer II during winter months-

• Operating and performing minor maintenance on various types of equipment, including but not limited to: riding snow blowers and brooms, large tractors and front end loaders, chain saws, water pumps, and generators
• Operating City vehicles and small power tools
• Maintaining and repairing Golf Course furniture, fixtures, and accessories
• Removing snow by hand and with various types of power equipment
• Pruning, facility servicing
• Performing other related duties as required
