The Lead User Experience (UX) Designer works independently and collaboratively to design user-friendly, responsive digital products that meet the needs of end-users and creates value for the business within technical, timeline, budgetary and regulatory constraints. This role requires a high level of critical thinking and leadership, and performs UX tasks for a digital project/product team, including research and analysis, wireframing and prototyping, usability testing, and UX QA of builds.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead pods that design products from concept to launch, ensuring that design meets business and user needs.
Analyze, interpret, and communicate business requirements that often include complex workflows and financial data.
Lead UX discovery, including competitive analysis, stakeholder interviews, heuristic evaluations, and information architecture.
Create artifacts at appropriate levels of fidelity that help illustrate business and user needs as well as current and future user flows (e.g., personas, scenarios, flow diagrams).
Develop and document information architecture, screen concepts, functionality, and interaction design (e.g., sitemaps, screen sketches, wireframes, prototypes).
Champion and contribute to design libraries, style guides and design systems.
Ensure the application of insights and best practices that inform the best solutions to business and user needs.
Professionally present UX concepts, recommendations, and deliverables.
Lead internal and external feedback sessions and design reviews.
Partner with the UX Research team to obtain insights from users via user research and usability tests.
Collaborate closely and effectively with other functional roles, such as product managers, business analysts, business systems analysts, engineers, and quality assurance/engineering teammates.
Work collaboratively with developers during planning, building, and testing to communicate the UX vision and see it to completion.
Support multiple workstreams, prioritizing work based on impact and effort.
Provide UX consulting for external initiatives as needed.
Coach and mentor junior designers to help them grow professionally.
Create/build out wireframes and other UX deliverables across desktop, mobile web.
Craft User Interface design for web, application, and mobile devices.
Research interaction design and technological trends.
Collect and refine requirements related to the development of the platform(s).
Develop consumer-grade visual designs and ensure consistency across products.
Support user testing and analysis of results.

Skills
Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and self-motivation
Previous experience on financial institutions or banking products is preferred.
Highly skilled at wireframe creation and effective documentation development and requirements documentation
Strong understanding of responsive design as well as touch design best practices
Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong collaboration, organizational and analytical skills, working with cross-functional teams and external users
Experience working hands on and in collaboration with researchers and user testing.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once
Ability to adapt to evolving trends in design and development

Education
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, Science, Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science, Visual Design or a similar field is prefered.

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $90.19/hour - $96.39/hour
