MANAGER SALESFORCE PLATFORM WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The Manager of Salesforce Platform is the product owner for the Salesforce cloud environment and functional lead over business analysts and leads on the team. This role will act as a fundamental bridge between the business and the technology teams and will focus on strategizing and prioritizing solutions that maximize cost structure, usability and customer satisfaction. This role will be responsible for translating business needs into technical requirements, creating focus for delivery teams', supervising members on the team and stakeholder management. This role will coordinate with the Salesforce Technical Manager to determine the overall strategy and roadmap of the respective Salesforce Cloud and strategic implementation within the Salesforce CRM tool as a whole.It is expected that the incumbent continuously pioneers and learns the latest features that are available in the respective Cloud environment with the intention to influence innovative and positive business solutions for stakeholders. Technical and analytical expertise are required to ensure that this candidate can optimally identify issues, evaluate solutions and ensure that development is prioritized while removing blockers. An appropriate balance of strategic vision, hands-on analytical work, strong leadership and team management is required to ensure that this candidate thrives while providing positive business impact and a strong value proposition to City National Bank. The candidate must be team-oriented and must possess the ability to provide transformational solutions in a space that garners emerging technologies.Manages through individual contributors or supervisors, the coordination of the activities of a team or department with responsibilities for results including costs, methods and staffing. What you will do
- Liaise with executives to understand business priorities and validate roadmap
- Manage Salesforce Cloud to the overall budget, schedule, scope of projects, and compliance with City National Bank policies and practices
- Acts as the business owner of the Salesforce Cloud platform, responsible constructing, validating, and managing the vision, roadmap, resources, engagement model, and adoption. Understands the sequential order in which capabilities should be developed to build a strong foundation before pursuing incremental benefits
- Sponsorship and ownership of Salesforce, including active and visible advocacy across user groups
- Acts as champion for data best practices and puts processes in place to assure the data quality of Salesforce Cloud.
- Serves as main point of contact for Salesforce Cloud with Executives and Senior Leadership and communicates project status and milestone completion to Executive Management, Business Leaders and IT
- Reinforces the best practices on how to use Salesforce cloud
- Manage and maintain the Salesforce Cloud roadmap (1 year, 3 year, 5 year). Aligns strategically with enterprise and business-specific initiatives.
- Manage and maintain procedural documentation ensuring that the Salesforce Cloud's developments meet City National Bank's policies and practices
- Defines the change management / user adoption strategy and metrics
- Supporting senior management in the development of workforce skill sets in order to meet transformation needs and achieve strategic goals
- Helps craft out the business case and resourcing needs to further expanded capabilities, including but not limited to agile scrum teams, effectiveness/capabilities functions, metrics and analytics, etc.
- Builds out metrics to track the business performance and operational achievements for the Salesforce Cloud
- Manages potential project roadblocks, risks, and issues, and ensuring timely and effective resolution
- Ensures team members (analysts, lead) are engaged on daily standup meetings, ensuring team is aligned with strategic and tactical vision of Salesforce wholistically
- Compiles monthly, quarterly and yearly analysis and summary of Salesforce Cloud development benefits at the enterprise level.
- Provides focus and clarity in establishing individual goals, driving performance management, supporting career development and rewarding strong performance
- Holds team members accountable
- Provides guidance and direction to individual contributors & team leads
- Participates in hiring, counseling, termination, coaching on performance and development, and may recommend pay actions
Must-Have*
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 10+ years in technical or business Salesforce-related role
- 7 years of experience in a related field (financial services, sales, CRM/customer relationship management)
- 5+ years managing medium to large scale projects
- 5+ years Supervisory experience required
Skills and Knowledge
- Salesforce Certified Administrator Certification
- Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification
