BUSINESS STRATEGY ASSOCIATE ANALYST WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The Commercial Banking Products Strategy & Org Enablement department is responsible for setting the long-term strategic direction for the Commercial Banking Products (CBP) division and driving its highest priority strategic initiatives including building and maintaining programs and capabilities creating operational leverage. The Associate Analyst supports the various departments within Commerical Banking Products division with the data analytics, product management and communications, risk management, strategic planning and other key management functions. This colleague conducts research, gathers data, and performs analysis to support priority initiatives and projects. This colleague assists in preparing reports and presentations, helps in the development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) and contributes to the monitoring of the banking industry trends relevant to the product areas. This colleague is adaptive and has the ability to quickly learn new processes and subject matter across different products, businesses, and disciplines. What you will do
- Assist with CBP's annual strategic planning process, including creation of strategic planning documents
- Collaborate with stakeholders across CBP's various divisions to help them formulate their divisional strategic planning documents.
- Support the division team on a broad range of strategy and transformation initiatives for the bank and the divisions.
- Provide reporting to senior management on strategic initiatives.
- Support risk processes (e.g., RiskID, Risk and Controls Assessment, Business Continuity Planning) and audit of strategic planning.
- Help perform competitive analysis, including tracking and analysis of banking industry and fintech trends.
Must-Have*
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 0-1 year of experience in financial services/consulting/technology or similar analytical industry
- 0-1 year of experience conducting business analysis, managing complex projects and/or implementing business/technology strategy
Skills and Knowledge
- Training Experience
- Ability to create clear and concise documents with strong storyline for executive conversations
- Experience in using data and analysis to drive strategic recommendations
- Comfort with working under ambiguous, complex, multi-stakeholder and fast-moving situations whilst still driving a project to its successful completion
- Understanding of key banking products, platforms, industry dynamics and trends is preferred
- Ability to support and report on several strategic initiatives simultaneously
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment as well as independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Exceptional work ethic, with the ability to pay close attention to details as well as have a strategic big-picture mindset
- Ability to work with confidential and sensitive nonpublic informationTraining Experience
