ASST MGR OPERATIONS WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The Mortgage Finance Group (MFG) Assistant Operations Manager will be the primary back-up for the MFG Operations Manager and is responsible for assisting with all aspects of Warehouse Lending including Funding, Collateral, Closing Agents and Repayments. Responsibilities will also include assisting with Co-Warehouse settlements, client training/question support, and end of day extended funding approvals/entry processing. What you will do
- Warehouse Loan Funding:
- Facilitate/expedite funding requests while providing the highest levels of customer service
- Maintain knowledge of loan programs, pricing, procedures, lending guidelines
- Manage/oversee client operating accounts to ensure sufficient funds for funding requests
- Reconcile client system advances (Promerit) to its CNB operating account on a daily basis
- Resolve funding deficiencies and obtain appropriate exception approval, as needed
- Collateral Control (Collateral, Repayments, Closing Agent Approval):
- Track, review and document the receipt of collateral packages
- Resolve discrepancies with client and follow up on missing/defective Notes
- Process collateral documents for delivery to investors
- Review investor repayments and process in the warehouse system
- Resolve repayment discrepancies and obtain appropriate exception approvals, as needed
- Perform the Closing Agent approval process and enter into the warehouse system
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with Co-Warehouse settlements
- Assist with MSR fundings/repayments
- Assist with colleague cross training
- Assist with Client orientation/training
- Assist with end of day extended funding approvals and end of day entries when needed
- Assist Operations Manager on projects as needed
- Complete bank training courses as required
Must-Have*
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Minimum five years of experience with warehouse lending operations or mortgage banking.
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience.
Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills with both internal and external clients
- Ability to prioritize/complete tasks within established time frames concentrating on quality
- Ability to work collaboratively with peers, management, and Clients to attain common goals
- Quick learner with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- General office skills: Word, Excel, email, scanner
- Open to training, cross training and willingness to learn
