  • Position / Specialty: Registered Nurse - NICU
  • Start date: Must Start within 3-4 weeks of date offered
  • Ratios: Depends on the acuity of the unit so there are various ratios (1:1; 1:2; 1:3, 1:4 (rarely happens)). Most common for majority of patients would be 1:2
  • Shifts: D/N Rotating – Rotating is not within the same week; every few weeks
  • Years of experience REQ: 2+ years of experience
  • First-timers accepted: No
  • Weekend REQ: EOW
  • Is on-call REQ? NO
  • What is the req? N/A
  • Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes – will float to other critical care units
  • No Age Cut Off – may have patients of any age

  • Pending License accepted: Yes – must apply within 24 hours of offer. Start Date will be 5-6 weeks from offered date

  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 – open to 48 hours with no OT until after 48 hours
  • Special Requirements: MUST have NICU IV experience. RECENT Trach and Vent Exp REQUIRED.
  • Will be dealing with the highest level of care for premature and ill newborns, as designated by The American Academy of Pediatrics.
  • Offer the full range of pediatric medical subspecialists, pediatric surgical subspecialists, and pediatric anesthesiologists on site.
  • Perform complex surgical procedures to repair complex congenital or acquired conditions.
  • Coordinate all aspects of care for conditions and associated complications including: coagulation defects, congenital heart defects, Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), gastrointestinal disorders, genetic and/or metabolic disorders, prematurity, respiratory distress and failure, pulmonary hypertension, renal disorders and sepsis and septic shock.
  • Missed shifts are required to be made up within the same week.
  • If offered and accepted, must provide photo upon contract signature.
    Job Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience required
  • NICU IV experience is a must
  • Recent Trach and Vent experience required
  • No first-timers
  • EOW Weekend Requirement
  • No on-call requirement
  • Must be open to floating to other critical care units within scope
    Schedule Information
