The Children's Hospital of Richmond (CHoR) at VCU is recruiting two faculty members for the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. The Division currently has 13 faculty working in two pediatric intensive care units (PICU), one in the academic downtown children's hospital (20 beds) and one in a community hospital (14 beds). In the spring of 2023, we will be moving to a new state-of-the-art 24-bed family centered, multidisciplinary pediatric intensive care unit.
Successful applicants will be board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Critical Care and will be expected to provide quality and timely clinical care on the inpatient arena. Candidates should be eager to be a part of a major dynamic effort to create a superior academic pediatric critical care division in a collegial atmosphere. Successful applicants will perform didactic and bedside teaching for students, residents, and fellows, and provide superb patient care in a collaborative environment. Clinical programs include pediatric trauma in Virginia's only level 1 pediatric trauma program, neurosurgery, cardiovascular surgery, pediatric burn care, solid organ and stem cell transplantation, and all aspects of pediatric critical care medicine including extracorporeal support.
