Job Details
• 24 beds in unit
• Patient ratio is 6:1
• Common diagnoses include CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD, med-surg tele
• Experience or ‘Must have' skills are great communication and time management
• Are RN's required to titrate drips: N/A
• Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Tele monitor techs monitor patients, but RNs have to be able to read strips
• Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Charge Nurse and House Supervisors and Nurse Educators available
• Are there Nurse Aides on this unit/Ratios: PCTs are present with a ratio of 12:1
• RT/Equipment: Cpap, Bipap, and high flow patients treated
• Shifts & Scheduling: 12-hour shifts, scheduling is managed by the manager, block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: Must work every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must work holidays
• Call or Standby Requirement: N/A
• Floating Requirements: Will float to all med/surg units
• Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy blue
• Unit/Department Specific Orientation: Kurth tower is all med/surg tele and department orientation is completed
