- Follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios: Labor: 1:1-2, PostPartum: 1:2-3
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: >35 weeks in labor, Mom/Baby couplets
- Years Experience: 2yrs experience required
- RNs required to titrate drips: Yes
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Antepartum/Labor- Magnesium, Oxytocin, LR, Zofran, etc. Postpartum: Prenatal vitamin, Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, Percocet, Toradol
- Charge Nurse on each shift: Yes
- RNs required to do anything with RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.): Neonatal vent- CPAP, Bipap, high flow

- Block scheduling allowed: Yes
- Shift Details: Nights 3x12s - Every 3rd weekend, first to float
- Weekend Requirements: Every third weekend

- Additional Details
- Floating to MSP/ED for helping hands, mostly sitting 1:1 with patients
- Attributes that help a nurse be successful in this unit: team work, provider consistency, knowledge, independence, good communication.
- Surgery is in charge of the C section, RNs just circulate for the baby.
- Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
