    Job Details
  • Acts as clinical supervisor for all departments.
  • Coordinates staffing for on-coming shifts.
  • Serves as subject matter expert in clinical nursing departments.
  • Resource for all staff.

  • Experience or 'Must have' skills: Minimum of 3 years house supervisor or manager experience.
  • Travel experience required.
  • Prefer strong ED/Trauma background but will consider MS/ICU experience.

    Schedule Information
  • Shift Details: 12 hours, 0630-1900.
  • Weekend Requirements: 2 of every 6 weekends.
  • Holiday Requirements: Must work one holiday if contract through Dec 31.
  • May allow self-scheduling to an extent.
  • Block scheduling allowed.
  • No on-call or standby requirement.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Department: House Supervisor.
  • Will they be responsible for arranging transfers: Yes.
  • Will they be required to mix medications: Yes.
  • Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse - will they fill in as charge nurse: Some duties include 'charge' nurse duties.
  • Are the Charge Nurses required to take patient assignments: NA.

  • Orientation: 3 shifts with support of managers after orientation.

  • EMR: Meditech.
  • No Prescreen - Interview with Manager.
  • Bed Management system: Non.
  • Do they manage bedding and staffing: Yes, but small scale.
  • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Hospitalist and 2 ED providers.
  • Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
  • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract).
