• Patient population: Adult, peds
• Common Patient Diagnosis: CVA, TIA, shortness of breath, COVID, subdural hematoma, weakness
• Common Drips/Medications: PCA pumps for pain management, cardizem, insulin
• Qualities for hires: A nurse on this unit is successful when he or she can manage the business of the day. The unit is a tight-knit group and are great with helping each other out.

Job Requirements
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required
• Telemetry competency required
• PCU RN for 4th Floor East Wing

Schedule Information
• Minimum of every 3rd weekend required
• Self schedule, cyclic scheduling

Unit Specific Information
• RN Ratio (Days): 1:4
• RN Ratio (Nights): 1:4
• EMR: EPIC
• IV Pumps: Alaris
• Float: Yes, ideally to MS areas. Float will depend on the highest need
