    Job Details
  • Medium sized hospital on Southern Wyoming needs a Behavioral Health RN to work variable shifts.
  • 14 bed unit and primarily adults.
  • Close to many great outdoor activities!
    Job Requirements
  • One year behavioral experience.
  • Want to traveler to be confident and comfortable in a crisis situation.
    Schedule Information
  • 12 hours- 645-715.
  • Manager does schedule.
  • Block schedule not always feasible.
  • Try to accommodate.
    Unit Specific Information
  • # Beds: 14, 2- lower stimulation rooms- PICU
  • Nurse: Patient Ratios: 1:06.
  • Patient Populations/Common diagnoses: Homeless, age 18+, schizo, medically stable, bipolar, veterans, depression, anxiety, substance use (CIWA post detox). Wound care, night O2 or CPAP (with 1:1) Video monitoring
  • Charge Nurse 24/7 & do they take patients: Charge nurse does takes patients.
  • Do you use physical restraints on this unit?: Restraint chair if all other forms of de-escalation fail.
  • Are there nurse aids or mental health specialists on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Techs with 1:6 patient ratio.
  • Is RT available if needed? If patients have oxygen or need treatments does RT do these?: Nurses and techs can set up. There is an option to have a referral to RT to set up equipment.
  • Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
  • Holiday Requirements: No
  • Is there call or a standby requirement?: Travelers would not be on call.
  • Floating Requirements: No floating
  • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs with logo
  • Unit/Department specific orientation: 2 weeks on the unit with a preceptor.
    Additional Details
  • BLS, CPI.
  • **All ppw due WEDNESDAY at NOON MST the week before start**
  • *Permanent address must be at least 25 miles from the facility location
  • Separate building from main hospital.
  • Security 24/7.
  • Social work, NP, psychiatrists on staff.
  • Dependability and good customer service are a must.
  • Treatment team is done every day.
  • Admissions/discharges.
  • Windy and snowy in the winter.
  • Smaller community.
