- A hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced nurses for a travel contract for their MS/Tele float pool.
- The right candidate will have 2+ years of current tele experience, an active BLS, ACLS and AZ license or compact.
- TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO TITRATE DRIPS!! There will be frequent floating to the sister facility, Mercy Gilbert.
- Travelers are required to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting (2 max attempts) and will take a pass/fail Sim lab on day 1 of orientation.
- COVID vaccine is required or declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or MD.
- Job Requirements
- 2+ years of current tele experience
- Active BLS, ACLS
- AZ license or compact license
- Ability to titrate drips
- Pass a dysrhythmia exam (2 max attempts)
- Pass a Sim lab on day 1 of orientation
- COVID vaccine or declination form with documentation
- Schedule Information
- 12 hr shifts: 7-7
- Every other weekend requirement
- Floating is required
- 4 weekend shifts per 4 week period
- One major and one minor holiday work required
- Unit Specific Information
- CV Tele B3A: 32 beds, ratio 1:3-4, no patient assignment for Charge Nurse, no ventilators
- A3 Neuro: 28 beds, ratio 1:3-4, no ICP monitoring, specializes in neuro post-surgical patients
- MedSurg C5: 32 beds, ortho/surgical/oncology, ratio 1:4, no ventilators, ICU pharmacist on days
- MedSurg B2C: 29 beds, general MedSurg/tele patients, ratio 1:4, no ventilators, 'new grad training unit'
- Additional Details
- Floating would include between Chandler & Mercy Gilbert campuses
- Notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hrs prior to shift start
- Floating to different units mid-shift can happen
- Rare to float to another campus within a single shift, but possible
- Must clock-out when leaving one campus then clock-in when arrive at the other campus
