Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher (SPED) that is certified in the state of practice to work in a school setting. This is a contract, full time position.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Identify the individual needs of each child to create a healthy and supportive learning environment.
• Work with many different types of children, from those who are sensory impaired to those with speech difficulties or autism.
• Prepare and execute lessons while implementing New York State's 'Creative Curriculum'.
• Develop and adapt individualized teaching methods that are suitable for each student.
• Communicate with staff and parents to create a better learning environment in school and at home.

Requirements include:

• Must be certified in NYS for SPED (Birth-2)
• ABA experience preferred.
