- Job Details
- Infusion Clinic: Transplant and Cellular Therapy Outpatient clinic with hematology, pre-transplant, post-transplant and clinical trial patients managed through both a provider-based clinic and infusion clinic.
- Currently there are four MDs and 6 NPs that rotate through clinic and the inpatient BMT unit, resulting in 2-4 providers in clinic daily.
- Staff composed of two front desk coordinators, one Intake Referral Coordinator, Medical Assistants, RNs, Triage RN, Apheresis RN, and other support staff.
- Procedures performed on unit include peripheral lab sticks, port access, central line blood draws, central line dressing changes, blood cultures, neutropenic fever work up, blood & platelet transfusions, electrolyte replacements, cellular therapy infusions (standard of care/FDA approved and clinical trials), vaccine administration, therapeutic phlebotomy, order/charge entry.
- Job Requirements
- Oncology experience required, BMT preferred.
- Must have: Flexible schedule, strong initiative, quick learner.
- Advanced skills needed: central line dressing changes & lab draws, port acces and de-access, peripheral lab draws and IV placement.
- Schedule Information
- FT employees work 4 10-hour shifts, rotating weekends.
- A typical shift is 0700-1700.
- Unit Specific Information
- Unit staffing description: Medical Assistants, Triage RN, staff RNs.
- Type of equipment: iMobile, Mobilab, Agiliti beds, Alaris IV pumps, NovaStat glucometer, Vein Finder.
- Documentation system: Meditech.
- Dress Code: Navy, black, pink or gray scrubs. Approved outwear only. Nails <3/4 in long, no acrylics.
- Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines.
- Awards/Recognition: FACT Accreditation, CoC (Committee on Cancer).
