Certification Details
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required
• BLS - Basic Life Support required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support, NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure, TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course, and other certifications may be required depending on the unit or specialty

Job Details
• PCU RN (7 West)
• 13 weeks
• days 7a-7p
• Options for schedules: 3x12, self-scheduling, EOW; 3x12, block, Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon; 4x12, self-scheduling, EOW; 4x12 blocked, Fri-Mon or Sat-Tue
• Fast-paced work environment with an average of 5-10 discharges/admits daily
• Care for patients from outlying areas who seek specialty services
• Focus on acute and chronic management of heart failure patients presenting in crisis, acute cardiac events and illnesses, exacerbation of chronic cardiac disease
• High acuity patients - IV medical management, hi-flow oxygen, impaired immobility due to venous congestion
• Manage patients post cardiac catheterization and/or cardioversion
• Currently 1:5 ratios for PCU (goal is 1:4)
• All travelers are expected to float as needed within acuity

Job Requirements
• BLS and ACLS required
