Description
Join a team of 5 intensivists and 5 Advance Practice Providers (APP) at Cape Cod Hospital to help meet the medical/surgical ICU needs of the 220,000 resident Cape Cod community. Our intensivist team provides comprehensive ICU care with 24/7 APP coverage of the 11-19 med/surgical patients in our closed ICU model program. The ideal candidates would be Pulmonary or Interventional Pulmonary based. Opportunities for pulmonary practice work or interventional pulmonary are available to a suitable candidate.
Inpatient Program details:
Schedule is 12 hour shifts from 7am to 7 pm, with rotating weekends and holiday coverage.
Daytime rounding and direct patient care with APP team. Backup support of APPs in off hours. No designated in-house night shift. Primary attending for all medical patients and co-attending model for surgical patients. Excellent collaboration with surgical colleagues.
ICU coverage stretches can be personalized, usually 3-7 consecutive days. ?If interested in building pulmonary practice, there is flexibility to build a personalized schedule with mix of ICU and outpatient pulmonary.
Hospital services include acute care surgery, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, interventional radiology, GI and cardiac services.
Intensivists must be comfortable with performing and supervising procedures including intubation, bronchoscopy, central line placement and ultrasound guided procedures.
Contribute to excellence in patient care, teaching, consulting and provides leadership to the organization.
Successful intensivists in this program will be invested in the development and maintenance of a standardized, evidence based practice of care that is supportive of our APP team, our colleagues and the community.
