Job Description

The Brink's Company is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst as part of our Strategy and Corporate Development group. The Senior Analyst will play a key role in executing M&A transactions, developing our strategic growth plan, and implementing comprehensive integration plans of recently acquired business across Brink's global footprint. Specific to transactional activities, the role will require financial modeling, valuation analysis and market research in support of business case development, and M&A project management, including the coordination of due diligence and our internal review/approval processes. In support of our Strategy development, activities will include performing strategic and quantitative assessments of trends, competitive positioning and new business segments. This work will support Brink's future growth plans and will receive executive level attention and exposure. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively and coordinate multiple tasks across several different teams/individuals. Special consideration will be given to individuals who have shown an ability to think creatively and use modern tools such as artificial intelligence to improve processes or systems.

The position reports to the Senior Manager - Corporate Development.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct valuation and financial analyses/modeling (including discounted cash flow, accretion/dilution, investment returns, and sensitivity analysis) for potential transactions and other internal projects. Prepare and present findings to senior management in a consistent, concise manner.
  • Research industry participants and market trends using public and private sources of data (e.g., company annual reports and filings, Alphasense, Bloomberg, analyst reports, CapitalIQ) to capture insights for input into strategy development.
  • Support integration leaders with strong communication/coordination among different functional groups within the organization, produce clear status report updates that track integration expenses and synergy realization
  • Support the annual Corporate Strategic Planning process and provide direction for the Strategic Growth Plans for Brink's business units and growth platforms. As needed, this includes facilitation of the structured strategic planning sessions with Brink's leaders to ensure synchronization with the overall corporate strategy.
  • Collaborate with external entities to explore partnership opportunities or to assist with the development of strategic insights.
  • Assist in researching and evaluating new markets for growth: conduct market and competitive analyses, assess strategic fit, financial impact, and entry strategy.
  • Coordinate and direct Business Unit and Corporate Department resources as well as external advisor relationships (investment banks, law firms, accounting firms) required to evaluate and complete transactions.
  • Work closely with senior leadership, the Corporate Development and Financial Planning & Analysis teams to prepare key materials for Board of Directors and senior management meetings.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2-years Financial Analyst experience
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or CFA desired
  • Solid understanding of finance/accounting
  • In-depth knowledge of financial modeling and advanced Excel
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in formulating and implementing strategy
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Expertise with an array of analytical methods in strategic analysis, valuation analysis, market research and financial modeling
  • Familiarity with relevant artificial intelligence tools
  • High level of diplomacy and tact, ensuring confidentiality of information when required
  • Can demonstrate collaborative style with excellent interpersonal skills.
