Brink's Global Services U.S., a division of Brink's, Incorporated, is the premier provider of precious commodities, diamonds and jewelry, armored car transportation and other value-added services to retailers, financial institutions, and other commercial and government entities. We have a challenging opportunity for a Regional Security & Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager.

Job Summary:  

The Regional Security & SOC Manager is responsible for developing, promoting and maintaining a high level of security standards and “Best Practices” within their region by focusing on risk management and the General Security Regulations (GSR). In addition, the person in this position will conduct investigations of internally and externally caused losses utilizing discretion and good judgment. The manager will support and oversee all aspects of incident /internal investigations related to security process and integrity as necessary. In addition, the manager will be responsible for overseeing compliance with Brink's policies, procedures and internal standards at local operating units and subsidiary and group

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify physical and operational deficiencies through internal loss prevention security audits and make recommendations to senior management for the appropriate corrective actions. Ensure the corrective action is accomplished by following up the audit process.
  • Identify current methods and procedures in place to manage liability, and security compliance.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Security Operations Center, including managing a team of security techs, responding to security incidents, implementing security policies, and reporting on overall security posture to senior management, all while ensuring the organization's assets are protected effectively
  • Implement standardized specifications for CCTV, premise alarms, protective systems, vaults, safes and coordinate upgrades where required to maintain adequate levels of protection for employees and customers' assets.
  • Make recommendations to improve or enhance the security compliance to the CSR team when opportunities exist.
  • Monitor and collaborate with the management team to implement and follow-up on security recommendations
  • Review and ensure compliance with the systems, procedures, rules, objectives and timescales set by the organization (Brink's Policy and Procedures and local key regulatory requirements)
  • Encourages cooperation and teamwork and facilitates the constructive resolution of conflict; builds positive relationships.
  • Develop and solidify relationships with various law enforcement agencies as necessary and appropriate.
  • Collect information relevant to the problem, exhibit discipline in ascertaining the root cause, identify and develop a practical solution, communicate the findings and help implement action to resolve the problem
  • Expresses ideas clearly, persuasively, and effectively; listens and responds appropriately to others, keeps people informed.
  • Deals effectively with customers, suppliers and others outside the Company.

  • Coordinate site surveys and physical security requirements for the construction of new facilities.
  • Review plans for renovating existing facilities to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Establishes performance goals with people, clarifying expectations, offering instructions and advice; provides opportunities to develop new skills; provides support and feedback to enhance performance.
  • Assigns responsibilities to direct reports and gives them discretion and authority to carry them out.
  • Uses training and job assignments to facilitate learning; provides appropriate recognition and rewards; provides constructive performance feedback through coaching and regular performance reviews; motivates team and builds commitments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a leader in a security role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of tactical security operations.
  • Proficient in technical security functions such as CCTV, alarms and access control.
  • 21 years of age
  • You must have the ability to work a flexible schedule with a wide range of hours including but not limited to weekends and where necessary holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with internal Brink's proprietary/commercial business software packages i.e. BITS, Garcia etc.
  • Knowledge of logistical operations, products, services, policies, and procedures, in addition to familiarity of the customers and the industries serviced.
  • Track record of driving collaboration and maintaining open communications with both internal teams and external/internal customers
