Job Description
The Brinks Company is looking for an Assistant Treasurer who will be responsible for cash management, treasury operations, and corporate finance. The position will support global treasury activity including financings, bank account management, cash pool management, and foreign exchange and interest rate hedging.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee daily U.S. cash process, liquidity, and borrowing decisions. Analyze and forecast cash to drive efficiencies and reduce debt.
• Manage international liquidity, cash pooling systems, and intercompany netting systems.
• Optimize bank account structures globally to minimize expenses, improve automation, and enhance fraud security.
• Oversee Trade Finance including surety bonds, bank guarantees, and letters of credit.
• Help manage bank, lessor, and rating agency relationships.
• Assist with hedging strategies for foreign exchange and interest rates.
• Forecast cash, interest income, debt, and interest expense for budget and guidance purposes.
• Support M&A activity related to treasury functions and manage treasury integration.
• Assist with capital allocation strategy, including dividends and share repurchase programs.
• Help issue capital markets debt financings and analyze capital structure strategy.
• Support reporting for the board and finance sub-committees.
• Develop and implement KPIs to ensure the department is meeting service level agreements. Update KPIs and provide reports to management as needed.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of relevant experience in cash management treasury operations and/or corporate finance in a corporate or banking environment, and a Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance (MBA and/or CFA preferred). Other skills and experience include:
• Ability to conduct research, organize and clearly communicate findings.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, problem solving capability and attention to detail.
• Team-player who builds strong working relationships with colleagues.
