Description

The IT Desktop & Field Services role is responsible for ensuring that the company's office systems, applications, network, telecommunications, end user devices and associated equipment run smoothly by receiving, prioritizing, documenting and actively resolving end user help requests. Provide technical, software, hardware, and network support to our Corporate, Retail and Distribution Center Locations. This position will be based in our Manchester, CT headquarters with the expectation of being onsite daily. Occasional travel to local stores and distribution center as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for On Site Level II Technical Support of our Corporate Office, and for Distribution Centers, Depots, and Retail Locations remotely from headquarters.
  • This person would be the IT liaison to corporate office users keeping IT Management updated on issues.
  • Work remotely with our Infrastructure and Networking Teams to be the onsite technician at headquarters to troubleshoot and remediate any on-site issues. Wireless Access and Performance, Printing Issues, Connectivity, etc.
  • Works independently
  • Responds to and logs requests for technical assistance in person, via phone and electronically.
  • Diagnoses and resolves technical hardware and software issues.
  • Work with IT vendors on technology deployments and refreshes.
  • Research problems using available information resources.
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
  • Tracks and routes problems and requests, and documents resolutions
  • Perform hands on fixes at the desk top level including installing, upgrading and troubleshooting end user hardware and software.
  • Stays current with system information, changes, and updates.
  • Support ongoing maintenance of corporate conference room systems (MS Teams, Barco Clickshare)
  • Image and configure laptops and other devices, deploy to users locally or remotely and ensure functionality.

Required Qualifications

  • MIS Degree or 3-5 years in a Desktop Support Role
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications, including M365.
  • Basic knowledge of Citrix technologies
  • Ability to perform maintenance on laptop, PC and printer hardware including replacing defective parts.
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to explain to and guide end users through troubleshooting over the phone or in person.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent Driving Record
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize in a high-volume environment with competing demands.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry related degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP software and IT certifications are a plus.

Expected Base Pay Not Including Potential Commissions, Incentive, Bonus, etc. Opportunities:

$59,000 - $74,000
