IT Specialist

Role Responsibilities:
Supports information technology, in a relatively large enterprise, including convenience store systems and related operational processes.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
- Hands-on IT experience (set-up and trouble-shooting) with:
- Windows server
- Personal computers (laptops/desktops)
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Active Directory
- MS Exchange/Office 365
- Enterprise applications
- POS (point-of-sale) systems
- Networks
- Scanners
- Working knowledge of convenience store operational processes.
- Support and troubleshoot end user and other IT issues. Configure/install/support/maintain hardware/software (hands-on or oversight, as appropriate).
- Maintain system security.
- Monitor/run/troubleshoot system processes.
- Participate in project planning, development, and implementation.
- May work within team or cross-functionally/externally to continuously improve operational environment and implement new/updated technology with associated business processes.
- Demonstrated skills in:
- Planning and problem solving, especially involving technical environments
- Communication, both written and verbal, including presentations
- System/procedure documentation
- Organization and multi-tasking/prioritization
- Training/assisting (non-technical) personnel, involving systems and processes.
- Ability to work independently, in collaboration with others, and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or GED required. 3-5 years IT experience required. Preference will be given to candidates that have higher level IT training/education.
- Ability to travel, up to approximately 10% of time; primarily driving within Michigan, including non-frequent airline travel and occasional overnight stays.
