We're seeking a skilled and enthusiastic IT Field Systems Coordinator for a remote opportunity in the Blarney Castle Oil Co. EZ Mart service area around the U.S-127 corridor and part of Michigan's northeastern Lower Peninsula.

 



Qualifications

Your Skills: You should demonstrate the following qualifications:

  1. Degree in Information Technology, Business or related field.
  2. Three (3) years relevant experience in a retail sales environment.
  3. Advanced working knowledge of convenience store operational and management processes, including usage of the related technology.
  4. Working knowledge of the relationship between store-level and other company or external technology.
  5. Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills, with the ability to maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with all constituents. Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  6. Excellent training and presentation skills.
  7. Well-developed leadership skills and the ability to organize others' activities.
  8. Proficiency in problem solving.
  9. Experience in developing and maintaining procedural documentation.
  10. Valid driver's license with valid, current proof of auto insurance, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel up to 80% of the time to C-Stores and other locations.

Your Role: As our new IT Field Systems Coordinator you'll be responsible for the following:

  1. Train C-Store leadership in the use of BCOC retail systems, including but not limited to point of sale; desktop computers and office equipment with associated software; “back office” applications and daily reporting; network; fuel management; and any store specific functions.
  2. Develop and maintain procedural and departmental documentation.
  3. Install and configure C-Store equipment.
  4. Create, update, and distribute training documentation.
  5. Coordinate and set up application user security.
  6. Provide first-line user support to understand and resolve store system issues. Answer user questions. Escalate as needed.
  7. Implementation and training of BCOC systems for new c-store acquisitions.
  8. Participation in IT department projects.
  9. Travel by personal vehicle to BCOC locations as assigned, including the Bear Lake Home Office, with possible overnight stays required.
  10. Requires on-call availability outside of normal business hours.

 

You can expect to perform this role in a number of locations, including the stores, the Blarney Castle home office in Bear Lake, Michigan, and in your remote office at home. Yes, you'll do a lot of driving between the stores in your primary assigned area and also, on occasion, to other company locations.
