Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. The CMA will perform administrative and clinical tasks to support healthcare providers and ensure the smooth operation of our medical facility. The ideal candidate will be organized, compassionate, and committed to providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked.
  • Take patient histories, vital signs, and record medical information accurately.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for testing.
  • Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the provider.Administrative Duties:
  • Manage patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries effectively.
  • Process insurance claims and handle billing inquiries.
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Assist in the coordination of referrals to specialists.

Patient Interaction:

  • Provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families.
  • Educate patients on procedures, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Ensure a positive patient experience through excellent customer service.

 

Working Conditions:

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from an accredited organization.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
