JOB PURPOSE OR MISSION: Performs food/beverage service tasks under general supervision in a food service area; washes and cleans assigned utensils, area and equipment; receives, stores and disburses foodstuffs and supplies. Performs duties appropriately for the age population served, as defined in the department's scope of service.

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

JOB FUNCTIONS

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include, but are not limited to:

1. Provides superior-quality food/beverage service.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
• Creates warm and inviting atmosphere by welcoming customers into coffee shop, responding to customer needs, and thanking customers for their patronage.
• Provides high-quality beverages and food items consistently, according to established standards.
• Interacts with customers to determine preferences and utilizes product knowledge to fulfill customers' desires.
• Looks for, and originates, opportunities to create enthusiasm and satisfaction in customers; helps create and maintain branding of BRG coffee shops.


2. Maintains working area according to established infection control/safety/customer service policies.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
• Maintains a safe, sanitary and orderly work area at all times.
• Sets up and operates dish machine to clean dishes, trays, silverware, glassware, and other utensils; inspects cleaned items to ensure proper sanitation and quality before utilizing for customers.
• Utilizes equipment appropriately and safely.
• Observes sanitation procedures before handling utensils or food items.
• Retrieves, collects and transports a variety of food service supplies and equipment as directed.
• Collects, sorts and disposes of trash, cans, bottles and similar debris and transports to disposal area as needed.

3. Performs all other duties as assigned.

 


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Previous food service experience preferred.


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED preferred.


HIPAA REQUIREMENTS:
Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable HIPAA regulations appropriate to Job Position.


SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable safety practices appropriate to Job Position including but not limited to: incident reporting, handling wastes, sharps and linens, PPE, exposure control plans, hand washing, environmental rounds to ensure safety, and clinical alarms for all age groups.
