The Basics
Location: Kansas City, MO
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience
Days/Hours: This will be a mostly day shift job, with some evening work for hedging purposes

What you'll be doing:
- Work with a team of analysts/traders to research, develop, and implement hedging strategies
- Maintain positions within defined management guidelines, while minimizing risk and maximizing profitability
- Manage execution and hedging requirements in futures, options, and OTC derivatives on relevant exchanges, markets, and trading platforms
- Immediately and accurately report all transactions to relevant parties and record in necessary systems
- Create detailed risk review reports for presentation to the leadership team and broader company.
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills with the ability to build relationships with traders and clients in production, farming, and processing across commodity markets
- Develop and lead the fundamental and technical research program at Bartlett, a Savage Company
- Lead the development of detailed commodity supply and demand models
- Oversee the modelling of commodity data for specific markets and produce analysis based on market developments
- Ensure the highest quality of data and continuously evaluate and improve data integrity
Requirements to be successful in this position:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant field of study
- Strong understanding of commodity supply and demand scenarios, and ability to pair with technical analysis to produce novel research and accompanying recommendations
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced, team member environment
