Job Summary
Northeast Florida's most comprehensive health system, located in one of the nation's most sought after coastal destinations, is seeking a full time Infectious Disease Physician to join a group of 10 ID Specialists and well known Medical Director Shalika Katugaha, MD, FACP.
The successful candidate will be a key specialist within the region's most comprehensive clinically integrated network. Applicants should possess interest in providing care in both inpatient and outpatient settings and demonstrate the ability to collaborate across care teams as part of Baptist Infectious Disease and the Baptist Health system which includes robust pathology and hospitalist teams as well as the region's largest outpatient primary care and specialty physician network.

Our team of physicians specializes in caring for patients with bacterial, fungal and viral infections that do not respond to standard treatment. We also work with doctors and caregivers to help diagnose suspected infections, and to care for patients with compromised immune systems.We are specialists in identifying and treating infections of the nervous system, bloodstream, respiratory system, skin, soft tissue, joints and prosthetics. This includes multiple-drug-resistant organisms, MRSA, ORSA and drug-resistant gram-negative bacterial infections.
