SCHEDULE DETAILS:
- Part Time 28 Hours
- 3 10hr shifts
- Rotating Calls weeknights and weekends ( Weekdays 5pm-6:30am Weekends 6:30am-6:30am Saturday and Sunday)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous critical care experience required (ED or ICU), previous IR or procedural based experience preferred
- Not accepting new to service line/new hires at this time
SPECIFIC JOB DETAILS:
- Provide pre and post procedural patient care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
- ·Administer moderate sedation under the direction of a provider for interventional radiology procedures

This position will help support our Medical Imaging teams at Banner Del Webb and Banner Boswell.
DAY IN THE LIFE
- Provide clinical nursing support for patients undergoing IR procedures to include outpatients, inpatients, and emergency patients.
- Work closely with IR team of techs, nurses, and physicians to perform IR procedures for Sofia.
EQUIPMENT USED:
- Cerner
- PACS
- Microsoft Office
Number of staff working alongside prospective team member:
- A typical day will include working alongside approximately 1 Radiologist and 1 PA at each location
- At Banner Del Webb - 5 nurses, 2 IR tech
- At Banner Boswell- 7 nurses and 3 IR techs
Number of patients seen daily:
- Approximately 20+ IR procedures daily
Types of procedures ect:
- Image guided interventional radiology procedures performed with moderate sedation (including Angio, CT, and Ultrasound guidance).
- Procedure types range from port placements, biopsies and Y90s, to emergent thrombectomy and/or hemorrhage procedures.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members. Reviews diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers. Completes assessment and reassessments according to patient need and as outlined in policy.
2. Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family and health team input. Initiates a plan of care based on patient-specific needs, assessment data and the medical plan of care. Goals for patient are realistic, measurable and developed in conjunction with the patient/family. Considers the physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age specific and educational needs of the patient in the plan of are.
