Overview Purpose:
As a Data Solutions Engineer on the product engineering team, your role involves translating business problems into data solutions and analytical models. This entails implementing data transformation and deploying data models into the Data Lakehouse platform and other data containers. Your technical expertise is used to build solutions that support business use cases. You ensure adherence to technical and data governance standards, integrating and harmonizing data using appropriate master data, metadata, terminology, and standardized code sets. You are committed to delivering high-quality data solutions to support the needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with finance, marketing and operations leadership and other key stakeholders to design, develop and maintain all the data requirements.
Automate data models and build data pipelines for internal clients.
Acquire, organize, and transform data into actionable structures.
Work with data engineering and platform team to develop and maintain Data Lakehouse systems and data pipelines that support finance, marketing and business operations audience reporting and analysis.
Create and maintain datasets and data models for data integrations and PowerBI reports.
Analyze business operations requirements for data, evaluate existing data quality, and recommend improvement opportunities.
Debug, and test data quality issues across the portfolio.
Process unstructured data into a form suitable for analysis.
Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Business Technology, Incentive Compensation) to translate business requirements into actionable, systems-oriented solutions.
Keep leadership up to date on the status of issues and analyses, including known problems being worked on and perceived risks. Lead reporting initiatives across multiple business units.
Qualifications:
BS Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field of study
5-7 years of work experience (ideally 7)
Extensive hands-on experience working with large datasets, pipelines, modern Data Lakehouse technologies
Experience programming in SQL and Python
Development experience with Databricks, Azure, Power BI, cloud-based data architectures, and tools required
Proficient in programming languages like Python and SQL (preferred)
Adept in data modeling and data warehousing solutions (preferred)
Skilled in data analysis and organization of data for analytics (preferred)
Proficient in ETL processes and data integration techniques (preferred)
Familiar with big data technologies like Spark, fundamentals of distributed systems and cloud computing (preferred)
Salary Range: $93,000 - $130,000
