Neurocritical Care Physician

AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center is seeking an intensivist to join our dynamic, rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will be BC/BE in critical care/pulmonary critical care or fellowship-trained in neurocritical care with experience in bedside procedures, including point-of-care ultrasound. This exciting opportunity includes critical care management for a 32-bed combined Neuro and Medical Intensive Care Unit. The intensivist cares for patients within our region's comprehensive stroke center undergoing a wide variety of neurosurgical interventions, including thrombectomy. The intensivist participates in multidisciplinary rounds with Pharmacy and Neurosurgery, while engaging in teaching opportunities with our internal medicine residents and advanced practice providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, cost-effective patient care that aligns with established critical care practice objectives and supports strategic organizational goals.
  • Implement preventive measures, accurately diagnose and competently treat illnesses and disorders.
  • Ensure that patient care adheres to AtlantiCare hospital practices and protocols.
  • Collaborate with physician leaders, administration and staff to enhance clinical outcomes.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives across the organization and actively participate as a member of medical staff committees.
  • Keep current with technical knowledge and pursue educational and professional opportunities to improve clinical practice and competency.
  • Show compassion and respect for individuals while meeting customer expectations.
  • Contribute to the medical staff programs and teaching activities at AtlantiCare.
  • Engage in our peer review process to improve clinical practice, demonstrating sound judgment and respect for colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of medicine.
  • Currently licensed to practice medicine in New Jersey.
  • Board certification with intensive care medicine membership on the staff of Atlantic City Medical Center.
  • Unencumbered CDS and DEA registration.
  • Proficiency in clinical applications is preferred at the time of hire. New hires will receive proper training and must acquire the necessary skills within 30–60 days of hire.
