AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center is seeking a distinguished, dynamic and collaborative leader to serve as its next Chair for the Department of Critical Care. Our exceptional, specialty-trained team provides 24/7 critical care support for patients with complex neurological and cardiac conditions. The Chairperson is responsible for planning, quality management and furthering the development of the Critical Care Department on both the Atlantic City and Pomona campuses.
AtlantiCare has the only state-designated comprehensive stroke center in southeastern New Jersey. Responsibilities include coordinating and integrating services within the department, developing and implementing policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services within the department, orienting and continuing education of staff in the department, and integrating the department into the primary functions of the hospital.
The successful candidate should be board-certified in Critical Care Medicine with strong leadership experience. Experience working in a fast-paced environment, interpreting neuroimaging; managing postoperative neurology patients that include stroke, aneurysm and epilepsy care; and responding to neurocritical care emergencies.
