Job Details
• Cardiac Progressive Care/Telemetry nurse position available
• Role involves caring for patients post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, Vascular, Arrhythmia, CHF, Post procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, Acute CP/MI, med/surg overflow i.e. detox, DKA, COPD exac, resp failure
• Patients ratio typically 1:4
• High patient turnover in a 44 Bed Intermediate cardiac stepdown unit
• Fast paced work environment

Job Requirements
• 2 years IMC/PCU/Tele experience required
• MUST HAVE 1 YEAR STRONG CARDIAC EXPERIENCE
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips required
• At least ONE completed travel assignment
• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required
• Able to manage independently and complete tasks timely

Schedule Information
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36
• 12 hours Days shifts from 0700-1930
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Every other weekend work required
• Every other holiday work required
• Able to take call if wanted

Unit Specific Information
• Unit details: 44 Bed Intermediate cardiac stepdown
• Patient ratio typically 1:4
• Unit experiences high patient turnover
• Unit deals with a variety of cardiac conditions and post-op recovery
• Fast paced and requiring ability to handle a high level of responsibility

Additional Details
• Contractors must be outside a 50 mile radius of Aspirus Wausau
• Auto Offer Unit
• Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well
• GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation
• Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed
