  • General Job Duties: Labor/Delivery & Postpartum care (taking care of patient and newborn). For pain management we do epidurals, intrathecals, water labor, water births, Nitrous Oxide & pain meds.
    Job Requirements
  • Minimum Experience (yrs in specialty): 2 years
  • Charting Experience: OBIX for fetal monitoring and EPIC for charting.
    Schedule Information
  • Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36 (3 12 hour shifts)
  • Shift Requirements: 12hr Days
  • Float Requirements: Float to Med Surg
  • On Call/Call Back Requirements: No
  • Weekend/Holiday Rotation Requirements: every other weekend/holiday
    Unit Specific Information
  • Unit Information: 3 LDRP's, possibility of using 3 postpartum rooms if needed.
  • Patient ratios depend on unit activity. Follow AWHONN guidelines for laboring & postpartum patients.
  • 1 nurse can take care of 3 couplets. 1 to 1 or 2 to 1 patient-nurse ratio for laboring patients depending on circumstances.
  • High-risk patients do not deliver here, no NICU available.
  • Scrub Colors required: Any scrubs, clean and professional. Hospital provided scrubs required for c-sections.
    Additional Details
  • Radius Rule: Contractors must live outside of 50 miles from facility
  • Desired Unit Specific Skillset: Labor/Delivery and Postpartum trained.
