The Registered Nurse-Intensive Care Unit is responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
Contribute to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
Collect patient's health data.
Analyze assessment data in determining patient problems.
Identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient.
Develop a comprehensive plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.
Implement interventions identified in the plan of care.
Evaluate patient's progress toward attainment of outcomes.
Assist with the plan of care, evaluate, modify and coordinate care, and communicate well with other disciplines.
Delegate task to unlicensed personnel in compliance with the Board of Nursing.
Conduct discharge planning, assisting the patient/significant others to obtain knowledge about illness, injury prevention, and teaching.
Maintain confidentiality with all information.
Perform any and all other duties as assigned.

Internal Requirement: I9 required for direct candidates.
Attestation required for Sub candidates.
Drivers License required for all travelers.

ACLS required as applicable.
AHA, ARC, or American Safety and Health Institute
BLS required.
PALS required as applicable.
Require as applicable: NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure, CHEMO - Chemotherapy, TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course, Tech Cert Verification - National, HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement, State License 1 Verification, NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP), Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB), NIH Stroke Certification, CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute.
Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required as applicable by profession, 80% score or Meet/Exceed the Angoff Score.
Color Blind Exam required for all candidates (Relias online version is acceptable).
