Applied Industrial Technologies is an extensive network of industrial distribution facilities located throughout Canada. We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Temporary Office Administrator at our Winnipeg, MB location.
This temporary/contract position is anticipated to start as soon as possible and will be approximately 3 to 4 weeks in duration.
Responsibilities:
Answer telephone calls, review basic customer/client requirements, take notes, and direct as necessary (medium to high volume)
Greet visitors as they arrive and answer requests for general information as they arise (low walk-in traffic)
Data entry and uploads into SAP, includeing invoices, work orders, and sourcing of parts/components as needed
Basic office duties such as:
Daily filing of orders, reports, etc
Print and distribute daily reports as directed
Prepare daily outgoing mail
Maintain neat and clean front office area
Provide additional administrative support to management, inside sales, and outside sales teams as required
Special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
2 or more years of experience in a similar role is required
Prior experience working in Industrial Distribution or related industry is preferred
Knowledge of SAP would be a huge asset
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (telephone, in person, and email)
Enthusiastic and exhibits a positive attitude and desire to succeed
Full knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate or higher working knowledge of Excel
Ability to multitask in a busy office environment while maintaining professionalism at all times
Detail-oriented with accurate data entry skills
Working Conditions:
Working schedule will be Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with no overtime expected
Office setting with frequent interruptions and the need to deal with a diversity of tasks
Ability to sit and use phones and computer workstations for extended periods of time
This position requires regular, reliable and punctual attendance
Acceptable attire is business casual
