Applied Industrial Technologies is currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Service/Shop Technician at our Fort McMurray, AB location.
This role will be Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day - local candidates are preferred. Some overtime may be required depending on business needs.
In this role, you'll leverage all that hands-on experience in your background and put it to good use helping us to support our customers and gain new ones while leading the charge in this area as your work helps to support the industry's best sales team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Failure analysis
System Troubleshooting
Repair and testing of hydraulic pumps and related components
Repair and testing of lubrication pumps
Field Service
Testing, disassembly, and assessment for cylinder repair
Mechanical repair
Report Writing
Preference will be given to candidates who possess some or all the following qualifications:
3rd or 4th year Apprentice or Journeyman Millwright, required experience in a shop setting servicing hydraulic and heavy industrial equipment
General fluid power product and system knowledge
Experience with hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinder, fluid conveyance, piping and mobile equipment
Proven troubleshooting abilities
Experience in mechanical repair
Experience in disassembly, repair, and testing of all standard
hydraulic/pneumatic components
Organize and work independently and as part of a team
Experience with cylinder repair
Good communication skills and a positive attitude
