Applied Industrial Technologies is an extensive network of industrial distribution facilities located throughout Canada. We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Material Coordinator located in Prince Albert, SK.

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Shop/Service Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordination of components and materials relating to the services offered through our shop facility. This includes procurement, warehousing, picking and quality control functions as well as hose building. The ideal individual would be motivated, highly organized, and comfortable with the physical components of the role and the requirement to work hands-on in our shop/warehouse areas.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Receiving and shipping all shop product in an accurate and timely manner
Assist with procuring and expediting required components for ongoing projects
Help review open purchase orders and expedite vendor delivery as required
Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with suppliers, subcontractors and shop personnel
Prepare completed repairs for shipment back to customers including completing documentation, ensuring requiring packaging is present and all required quality actions have been completed
Manage and maintain shop warehouse inventory including cycle counting and staging of product
Assist warehouse personnel with tagging received components and transferring product to the required location
Assemble, build, measure, cut, crimp, and test industrial hoses
Operate various cutting and machining tools such as saws, grinders, shears, crimpers, etc.
Sort material, stock shelves, pick orders, package and label materials
Pick and prepare sales orders for outbound shipment
Support with quality control initiatives & Utilize and manage bin locations
Provide administrative support when required with increasing responsibility moving forward
Take personal responsibility for and actively engage in product, systems and skill training and development
Other tasks as required
Qualifications:
Prior experience working in a shop service environment working with logistics equipment (forklift, cranes, etc.)
High school diploma is required
Mechanical aptitude and interest is a must
Strong Proficiency working with computers, including Microsoft Office / SAP experience is an asset
Ability to prioritize and number of tasks and complete a variety of work assignments within structured deadlines
Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, as well as internal and external
Preference will be given to candidates who possess the following qualifications:
Experience in shipping and receiving; preferably within an industrial distribution setting
Parts Management experience / Previous Fluid Power industry experience is preferred
Customer service driven / Willing to learn / Detail oriented / Self-Motivated / Organized
Basic mathematical aptitude / Proficient computer skills
Can work independently or in a team environment
