Job Summary

Anord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world's largest companies.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Supply Chain Outsourcing Lead located in Kendal.

Reporting to the Global Head of Supply Chain, the Supply Chain Outsourcing Lead will be responsible for coordinating all outsourcing activities, including identifying, evaluating and selecting the best partners for various projects and functions across the business.  

What a typical day looks like:

  • Optimise efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in outsourced projects, whilst fostering positive relationships with external partners

  • Identify tasks or functions that can be outsourced to external suppliers

  • Negotiate the terms and conditions of the contracts, monitor the performance and compliance of the suppliers, and resolve and issues or disputes that may arise, utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods

  • Act as the liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers

  • Provide advice on solutions including competitive advantage, reduced cost of ownership and business advantage

  • Develop and maintain forecasting tools, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan, and facilitate on-time material ordering with project handover

  • Develop a suite of KPIs to be shared monthly, to form input for supplier performance reviews

  • Provide a link between Sales, Planning, Projects, and Procurement

  • Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement

  • Supporting procurement colleagues as directed

  • Travel will be required

  • Completing ad hoc tasks as directed

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Typically requires a minimum 5 years of procurement experience

  • Experience in identifying and selecting supply chain partners globally

  • Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel, as well as ten-key, spreadsheet (PC) and ERP software

  • Ability to read, research and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

  • Ability to apply common sense comprehension to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

  • Willingness to travel when required
