To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an experienced Project Manager - Databar located in Kendal, UK.
Reporting to the Senior Projects Team Lead, the Project Manager - Databar role involves delivering projects to specification, on time, on schedule, in line with the company standards of Quality and Safety and to budget so as to maximize the profits of the company, while understanding of basic electrical principles and power distribution. You will have the responsibility to deliver complex technical products from design through manufacture test and on-site commissioning with a value of millions of pounds per year.
What a typical day looks like:
Deliver Projects to specification, on time, on schedule, in line with the company standards of Quality and Safety and to budget to maximize the profits of the company and understanding of electrical principles and power distribution/generation.
Manage multiple projects taking full ownership and responsibility
Implement and manage project changes and interventions to required timescales & cost restrictions.
Control, monitor and manage assigned projects to include regular reporting against plans & where necessary intervening to ensure a timely delivery.
Ensure effective, timely & appropriate solutions are developed, communicated & implemented to fulfil the business requirement.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with the client, colleagues and any other associated third party.
Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Return monthly applications & invoicing to the financial team on time and prepare final accounts with Accounts department
Provide concise & accurate reports to the Senior Projects Team Lead as and when required
Promote, develop, and always extend any business of the company and in all respects conform to and comply with the proper and reasonable directions and regulations of the company.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
Degree in Electronics, Aerospace, Mechanical, Management Engineering or equivalent
Proven experience in project management within manufacturing, construction, mechanical, electrical or similar
Demonstrated experience in Databar is advantageous
Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and conscientious with a high standard of attention to detail
Must be able to work accurately to deadlines in a busy and pressurized environment, demonstrate flexibility and understand basic electrical principles
PMP certification would be added advantage
Proficient in English is a must to lead advance technical discussions with international teams and stakeholders
