Job Summary Job Description

Anord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world's largest companies.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Materials Planning Manager located in Kendal, Castle Mills, England.

What a typical day looks like:

  • To manage and develop a team of schedulers to: accurately prepare forecasts, workloads, and resource; monitor drivers against business change; and develop models to improve accuracy.
  • To constantly monitor and propose effective resource strategies to match business requirements.
  • To be aware of and record business, resource, and seasonal changes, making appropriate resource plans for expected changes in profile and workloads, reporting on expected and experienced results.
  • To monitor manufacturing recruitment and consult with senior stakeholders to make advanced plans for required redistribution or increase in manufacturing headcount to optimise delivery to the end client.
  • To deliver effective & accurate reports detailing KPIs and commentary relating to workforce and shift performance, identifying the proposed and actual shift efficiency factors.
  • Ensure that KPIs are tracked, communicated and corrective actions taken when deviating and reported back to leadership in time.
  • To actively manage and develop the current capacity tooling, owning the relationship with key stakeholders and cross functional working, to identify and implement innovative ideas of best practice.
  • Ensure accurate information is provided for the Master Scheduling process
  • Ensure on-time availability of raw material in line with demand
  • Identify potential areas for turnaround time improvements to customer
  • Play a significant role in long-term planning, including initiatives geared toward operational excellence
  • To ensure that the manufacturing leadership are being provided with the right insight in regard to capacity planning and also opportunities for cost and cash improvement.
  • To be the knowledge centre in supporting pro-active communication of supply risks and mitigation of back-order issues within span of control to include both production in house and third party.
  • Management of the planning team to ensure that they are developed, coached and capable of performing the roles designated.
  • Travel between countries and sites may be required

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Educated to Degree level – Business / Procurement - or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years' experience in a variety of Supply chain roles
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to function as a Team player, or independently, and with multiple activities
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Demonstrable leadership skills
