Registered Nurse – Renal Dialysis - Travel - (Dialysis RN)
StartDate: 9/10/2024 Available Shifts: 10 D Pay Rate: $2722.12 - $2999.88

Department: Hemodialysis o Patient Care and Preparation: - Assessment: Evaluate the patient's overall health, including their blood pressure, heart rate, and weight. Assess for any signs of infection or complications related to dialysis. - Access Site Management: Care for the vascular access site (fistula, graft, or catheter), ensuring it's functioning correctly and maintaining hygiene to prevent infections. - Patient Education: Educate patients about the procedure, diet restrictions, fluid management, and signs of complications. o Dialysis Procedure Management: - Setup: Prepare and set up the dialysis machine and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are ready. - Monitoring: Continuously monitor the patient's vital signs, the dialysis machine, and the dialysis process throughout the treatment to ensure it's running smoothly. - Adjustments: Make necessary adjustments to the dialysis prescription, such as flow rates and dialysis solution composition, based on the patient's needs and lab results. o Technical Maintenance: - Machine Calibration: Regularly calibrate and maintain the dialysis machine to ensure accurate and effective treatment. - Troubleshooting: Address any issues or malfunctions with the dialysis machine promptly to prevent complications. o Post-Treatment Care: - Monitoring: After treatment, monitor the patient for any adverse reactions or complications, such as low blood pressure or bleeding from the access site. - Documentation: Accurately document the treatment details, including the amount of fluid removed, the patient's response, and any issues encountered. o Coordination and Communication: - Interdisciplinary Team: Work with nephrologists, nurses, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Patient Support: Offer emotional and psychological support to patients, addressing their concerns and helping them cop
