GI Hospitalist Faculty
StartDate: ASAP Pay Rate: $360000.00 - $385000.00
Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) seeks two Inpatient Gastroenterologists (GI Hospitalists) to improve the quality and efficiency of inpatient care at OHSU's main University Medical Center. These physicians will join a team of 33 physicians from all gastroenterology specialties. Some duties include attending 20 weeks a year on the GI consult service, navigating inpatient workflows, and investing in improving the quality and efficiency of inpatient care.

- Benefit from a generous allocation of up to 9 weeks for vacation or continuing medical education
- During 24 weeks per year, ambulatory care duties include overseeing 2 days of endoscopy per week and managing an urgent GI clinic designed for patients transitioning from hospital care or those with urgent referrals
- Excellent opportunity to develop specialized expertise in diagnosing and treating inpatient GI disorders, with a particular focus on conditions like GI bleeding
- Be involved in quality initiatives aimed at enhancing the delivery of inpatient and urgent ambulatory GI care
- Educate fellows and collaborate with an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to ensure the provision of high-quality care
