SENIOR SOFTWARE SYSTEMS DESIGNER 

THE ROLE:  

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic Software Systems Design Engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor to the success of AMD's products, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. The Software Systems Design Engineering team fosters and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development.  

THE PERSON:  

We are seeking an experienced and versatile professional with expertise in data analytics, database development, and front-end GUI design to join our team. As a multi-talented developer, you will be responsible for managing complex data systems, creating insightful analytics, and designing user-friendly web applications for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data-driven decision-making, an eye for design, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine data needs, database requirements, and user interface goals.
• Analyze large datasets, create data models, and present findings to stakeholders using data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau or Power BI).
• Design, implement, and maintain database systems to support business needs, optimizing query performance and data retrieval.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly web and mobile applications with modern UI/UX design principles.
• Ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and security by developing and implementing data quality measures and governance processes.
• Work closely with back-end developers and data engineers to integrate front-end interfaces with server-side back-end logic.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 6+ years of combined experience in data analytics, database management, and front-end development.
• Proficiency in SQL and front-end languages, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau or Power BI) and front-end frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap, React, or AngularJS).
• Strong understanding of relational database technologies (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL) and data modeling techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of mobile app development and cloud-based database solutions is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Data science and ML Knowledge would be a plus.
• Strong analysis, problem-solving & interpersonal skills.
• Good verbal & written communication skill is a must.
• Good attitude, result-driven & ability to deliver on next-gen technology.
