THE TEAM: 

AMD's Data Center GPU organization is transforming the industry with our AI based Graphic Processors. Our primary objective is to design exceptional products that drive the evolution of computing experiences, serving as the cornerstone for enterprise Data Centers, (AI) Artificial Intelligence, HPC and Embedded systems. If this resonates with you, come and joining our Data Center GPU organization where we are building amazing AI powered products with amazing people.

 

THE ROLE: 

AMD is looking for an influential software engineer who is passionate about improving the performance of key applications and benchmarks. You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest hardware and software technology.  

THE PERSON: 

The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop software to enable a world class experience for users of AMD accelerator cloud.
  • Work cross-functionally to understand requirements and develop product roadmap.
  • Communicate plan and progress at a regular cadence.
  • Mentor junior engineers
     

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • 10+ years of experience working in Infrastructure organization, developing software.
  • Experience in Slurm and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Go
  • Solid experience working in a Linux environment.
  • This is customer facing role, experience working with customers to resolve infra issues is desired.
  • Ability to write high quality code with a keen attention to detail
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills

At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.  Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position. You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
