SENIOR SILICON DESIGN ENGINEER
THE ROLE:
We are looking for an adaptive, self-motivative design verification engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. The Verification Engineering team furthers and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development.
THE PERSON:
You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/timezones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Looking for highly motivated and self-driven engineer to be part of the AECG-SPS-IDT-XHD team
- Will be responsible for planning and execution of end-to-end processing system solution including Vivado IP configuration to software execution targeting customer usecases on AMD AECG products
- Collaborate with marketing, architects, hardware engineers, pre/post silicon verification and firmware engineers to define specification and implementation of processing system solution requirements with agreed scope and timelines
- Work closely with your team and cross site stakeholders to drive the requirements and deliverables
- Interact with multiple teams across AMD to develop processing IP solution targeting AMD AECG FPGA/SoC/ACAP solution, including bare metal and OS hosted environments
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Self-driven, motivated, focused, results oriented individual with superior academic achievements
- Excellent communication skill for working remotely with global team
- B.E/B.S/B.Tech in EE/ECE/CSE with at least 6+ years of experience (or MS in EE/ECE/CSE with 4+ years' experience) in IP/Sub-system/System development and validation
- Proficient knowledge of Verilog/system verilog coding, and simulation (AMD XSIM simulator, ModelSim, NC-Verilog, VCS etc.)
- Programming languages: C, Assembly, embedded applications programming
- Understanding FPGA basics, FPGA tools flow, using AMD AECG FPGAs, FPGA timing constraints, STA and timing closure
- Knowledge of system-level architecture including buses like AXI, bridges, memory controllers , High Speed serial connectivity, PCIe, Ethernet etc is a plus.
- Good understanding of processing system, boot and IO peripherals is preferable.
- Good organizational skills with ability to multi-task, prioritize, and track many activities.
- Very good collaboration skills to interface with architecture, design and validation teams.
- Expertise in debugging systems on boards using debugger/scopes.
- Ability to drive hardware/software solution projects at all stages from planning to implementation.
- Understanding of embedded systems including device drivers, developing and debugging bare-metal as well as Linux based applications is a plus.
- Familiar with AMD SDK tools to create software application is a plus.
- Scripting: very good knowledge in Tcl/Python/PERL/C-Shell.
- Very good team player.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
